Shivwits Pageant February 10th. Paiute women ages 8-21 registered with the Shivwits Band. Deadline to turn in application is Feb. 7th.

February 10th
Shivwits 3rd Annual Sweet Hearts Circle Dance February 11th.
Please come and support our Shivwits 3rd Annual Sweethearts Circle Dance Celebration. It will be held indoors this year in our brand new Gym.
events will start off with PITU wellness day from 8-12:00pm in the gym.
Free lunch will be from 12:00-2:00pm only at the communi...ty center. 1:00pm we will start our Shinny game (outdoors) starting with juniors, teens and adult, 5 to a team, bring your team or start one there, prizes awarded.
3:00 PM we will start the Circle Dance. Dalton Tom will be our MC. We have invited local Paiute singers who will be singing a total of 10 songs each, also invited are Hualapai, Supai, Cree, Comanche & Cheyenne, Navajo and Hopi singers. We will also have an open mic for those who would like to share a traditional song or two. There will be door prizes, cake walks, couples & blind date two-step contest, winners will receive dinner & movie passes. There will be a 12 and under singing contest, winner take all for $100.00, must sing a Paiute Circle Dance song (sponsored by Greg & Shanan)
Craft vedors welcome, fee is one item ($20 value) to go towards door prizes. Food vendors will be there after 3:00pm (Band member booths only).
Everyone is welcomed to attend, this is an alcohol and drug free event! Bring your own chairs, there will be limited seating on the bleachers (make sure your chairs have protective bottoms & won't scratch new gym flooring).

FREE FOOD! To help Tribal members during these tough economic times, the Utah Food Bank will deliver boxes of food (enough food for about one week) to the Shivwits Band building March 1st, 10:00am.

Please be aware: Limit one box per family. Food boxes will be available on a first come, first served basis.
